Stunning fall elopement in the German Alps
A day that perfectly sums up why we love elopements so much and why even after all those years we still are 100% invested in every single elopement, every single couple and story they share with us!
M&O, I think we should start this blogpost in saying: “Thank you! Thank you for spending a day that truly reflects you two as a couple, thank you for making the brave decision to ditch the more traditional route and for embarking on this adventure elopement in the German Alps!”
Making the decision to celebrate an elopement in a completely different country on a different continent can be super easy to some couples, but more often than not it isn’t as easy. Because eloping of course means prioritizing the connection you have with each other and not sacrificing the time you can spend together on your wedding day, but it also means that you have to make the decision to tell people that they won’t be a part of your special day, it means that going left when everything else leads in a different direction. And M&O made all of those decisions and with Anne’s help, created a day that was 100% them and 0% stress. And guess what? They didn’t have to tell everyone that they won’t be a part of their wedding day, because they took their closest family with them and made them an important part of their wedding day in the German Alps.
But first things first. And that means celebrating a first look! And what a special one this was. Just the evening before their elopement in the German Alps, the weather wasn’t the best and when they arrived at their hotel it was raining very heavily. But the forecast for the next said clear skies, beautiful sunshine and warmer temperatures. After a day filled with rain this usually means fog in the early morning hours of the next day. The fog together with the sun slowly rising created this magical and mystical atmosphere and it this beautifully framed the first looks of M&O.
Off to a fantastic start I would say. But wait, it will get even better. The gondola took us higher up the mountains and with the sun rising and the clouds disappearing it was all set for a fabulous day. M&O shared their very private vows on top of the mountain and later on they joined up with their family for a lunch in an Alpine hut. After their mountain adventure it was time to get back to their hotel, because besides their private vows, they also wanted a short little ceremony held by one of their family members. It was heartfelt, emotional and very special!
You could really feel that everyone was happy for M&O and everyone was excited and honored to be a part of their wedding day in the German Alps.
