Italy Elopement in Fall
This was a special one. Why you ask? Because just three weeks before their elopement we didn’t even know who T&B were, they didn’t even inquire. But then it all went pretty fast and we planned a day for them, filled with everything they wanted their wedding day to look like. But see for yourself!
When this inquiry popped into our inbox we were all a bit confused to say the least. “Is this a typo?”, “Shouldn’t it say 2026?”. But no T&B really wanted their elopement to take place in just a little over two weeks. And what does any sane person say to an idea like that? Right. “Hell yeas, we are gonna make that happen!”. So we had our first planning call with them and we quickly realized that T&B just wanted a day on which they can really celebrate their love for each other. That was their number one priority. No stress, no hustle and no feeling like they missed out on something.
During this first call we also very quickly established that the Dolomites is the place to go and both of them were absolutely fascinated by the Italian Alps. They also wanted their elopement to feel “real” and that’s why they decided to not only exchange their vows but also to have someone there who leads them through their ceremony and who brings it all together. Their story, their adventures and their love for each other.
So after getting ready in their hotel suite and having a very intimate and personal first look on their balcony, we headed off to the spot for their ceremony. And right there, with no one else present, they said “Yes” to each other. And it could not have been any better, any more magical. It doesn’t always need stunning backdrops and scenery to say “I do”. But fear not, those stunning backdrops would eventually come a bit later on their day.
Because with their ceremony coming to an end, the two of them wanted to experience something very special. That’s why we organized a helicopter flight for them which would take them far over the stunning scenery of the Italian Alps and to their big surprise drop them off at a place where it felt like winter had already arrived. Because on the evening before their elopement the first snow had fallen in higher altitudes and from celebrating a late summer/ early fall elopement down in the valley, they were now deep into winter wonderland. And they absolutely loved it! Being from Canada, they had no problem at all with the snow and it was such a special moment to witness.
Just a couple hours before, they told us that a few days before their elopement they had very warm temperatures, sun shining all day long and they went on a biking trip with just their T-shirts on. But that’s the beauty about doing an elopement in the Italian Alps!
So after their helicopter flight it was time to head back to their hotel suite, toast to their love and take a few more photos on their beautiful balcony before we let them enjoy the rest of their evening together.
