I think we’ve said it thousands of times but we’ll say it again: we just LOVE fall and its beautiful colors. Combine this with a stunning mountain backdrop like the Austrian Alps and you are set for an absolute winner!
A & M traveled all the way from Canada and instantly fell in love with the charming village of Hallstatt in Austria. It was clear from the very beginning that this would be the perfect place to start their elopement adventure. They also knew one more thing for certain. Their elopement would unfold in the warm and vibrant colors of autumn.
Hallstatt, with its narrow cobblestone streets and historic houses, offers an incredible backdrop for unforgettable photos. However, it is important to begin early, as this small village attracts many visitors throughout the year. So, the two started their morning in their cozy hotel, getting ready for the day ahead. When they stepped outside for their first look in one of Hallstatt’s quiet streets, the soft morning light and the peaceful atmosphere created pure magic.
Afterward, we explored the town together, guiding them to the most beautiful and hidden spots Hallstatt has to offer. The laughter, the quiet moments, and the joy of discovering new corners made every stop along the way special.
But the journey did not end there. From the village, we made our way deeper into the Austrian Alps, surrounded by golden forests and crisp mountain air. At a picturesque alpine lake, A & M exchanged their personal vows, celebrating their love in the heart of nature. The weather was kind, the light was soft, and the setting could not have been more perfect.
The day before, we had decided to move everything slightly earlier, knowing that rain was expected later in the evening. That decision turned out to be the best one we could have made. High up in the mountains, they were able to enjoy a long, peaceful picnic surrounded by breathtaking views. And as if that was not magical enough, they shared their first dance there, with the peaks and clouds as their witnesses.
We have always believed that the mountains look their most dramatic when the weather turns a little cloudy, and this day was proof of that. The Austrian Alps revealed their most beautiful side, wrapped in soft mist and autumn light. It was the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay just a little longer, soaking in the beauty and the stillness.
